We are excited to introduce this series of new midlengths where we have collaborated with our shaper Bill Minard to recreate some of the original designs Bill was making in the seventies. The MATRIX label was a popular San Diego brand Bill created in the early seventies featuring his distinctive and progressive hand shaped boards. We worked with Bill to bring back some of the designs but we modernized the outline with more volume for smaller surf making these boards easy to paddle with lots of natural flow. Some of the distinct features of these boards are a darkwood stringer, one sided resin tint, top black pinline and gloss & polish mirror finish. We made only three of these beauties but we can make custom variations of the Matrix model any length, color and fin box option.
