This Midlength is built for speed and more!
Purpose: We have been experimenting with some new mid sized shapes the last year and after a lot of refining we have come up with an incredible new design that is based on combining elements of two of our favorite boards, the Poacher and the Easy Rider. The Speed Egg is just that, a fast board with a classic egg design. Don't let the word "Egg" fool you as this board is unbelievable responsive and allows you the paddling power of a midlength but then when you step over the fins you can put the board on rail and do things you would not expect for a board this size. The pulled in rounded pin tail with five fin boxes gives you the versatility of either a four fin or thruster setup. Go with quad for looser surfing and go with thruster for more control and tighter turns.
Designed For: Intermediate to advanced surfers who wants an every day board that works in knee high to head high surf. A board that paddles like a longer board and then has the speed to drive fast down the line and turn on a dime.
Sweet Spot: Knee to Slightly overhead, with its true identity revealed in waist to head high surf. This board will handle slower, mushier conditions with ease thanks to the generous volume through the middle of the board.
