We are stoked to announce our newest ambassador, Liam O'Callaghan! It is impossible to place Liam into one category. In the water, he is a fearless big wave surfer, a powerful high performance long boarder, an accomplished knee boarder, and stylish nose rider. On land, he's a friend to all, a light in his community, a joy to be around, and a strong advocate for autism awareness & support through "Surfer's Healing Foundation" (Autism Surf Therapy). There is a lot in store for Liam in the furture and we're excited to give you a chance to get to know him in his own words!

Favorite band and song? Beatles, Let It Be
What’s your favorite thing about surfing? Being in the ocean, having fun, and using my own visualizations to ride a wave.
What are your go to boards (size and type)? My everyday boards are performance 2+1 longboards that range anywhere from 9’0-10’0 and sometimes I’ll ride single fin logs. I love riding mid lengths from 7’0-7’6 (any fin setup) for cruising and carving after stepping down from the longboards. When the waves get serious I like to ride my big wave guns that range from 9"'6 to 10' and are either quads or 2+1’s. Another alternative added into my wave riding repertoire is Kneeboarding and the preferred size is a 5’11 Greenough influenced shape hull bottom with a quad fin setup, full deck pad, and a pair of Vipers or Yucca fins on my feet to kick into waves using the wide small board .
Best wave you can remember? Surfing during a red tide at one of my local beach breaks on a midlength getting a wide open barrel and coming out untouched.
What’s one thing you can’t leave the house without? A surfboard
If money was no object, what would be your dream surf trip? A surf trip to Tavarua, Fiji
What are you most passionate about? My main passion is anything that involves the ocean.
What gets you up in the morning? Waking up knowing all the fun waves I am going to catch and start each day off right by doing what I love, surf. Surfing has been the best activity for me and has been therapeutic when reality gets tough.
