We are pleased to introduce you to our newest ambassador and friend, Ahmed Perez. There is so much to say about this guy...he is a pro surfer, Father, explorer, artist and ocean activist. His journeys have taken him from his birthplace of Venezuela around the world to surf many of the bet waves on the planet as a South American professional surfer. Not only is he passionate about his surfing but he has a mission of caring for the oceans and our planet. He grew up in the small coastal town of Playa Grande on the Caribbean island of Venezuela. He has many achievements as a pro surfer having won the prestigious Mexi Pipe Pro at Puerto Escondido as well as a long list of small and big wave events. Additionally he has been featured in South American surf films and has had his surfing featured on the cover of surf magazines internationally. More importantly, he is a kind and welcoming human being who you will find smiling and helping people on a daily basis which is why he represents the Degree 33 brand do well.

Favorite Surf Trip you have had and where? 14 days on a boat in the Mentawai Islands Indonesia with good friends
What is your favorite item you’ve bought this year? A plate of food for a hungry person I met on the street.
What other hobbies do you have besides surfing? Being a good person ...love and help others, physical training, writing, photography, art
What advice do you have for someone that is new getting into surfing? Find a surf lesson with someone experienced, start with a big soft-top board, and progressively decrease the size and volume of the board you use. Get ready for an experience of a lifetime.
If money were no object, where would you book a surf trip and why? Twenty one days boat trip to Mentawai Indonesia with my son and a group of friends. That archipelago is just the best place on earth for surfing
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? Professional surfer
What brings you the most joy? The opportunities that God gives me to share quality time with my son Matthias Koa
