Yes we can we can ship anywhere in the world. However, anywhere outside of the U.S. will need to be quoted on a per shipment basis. Our international shipping carriers will pick up the board from our shop and ship to your local airport where you would collect the board. Upon collection, you will be responsible for duties and taxes. If interested, head over to our contact page and either send us an email of give us a call at the warehouse and we'll get you a quote.
We here at Degree33 love the military and what you do to protect and serve our country. We realize that we would not be able to do what we do, if you didn't do what you do with your commitment to service and sacrifice.
All Military personnel will receive 5% off your total order. (This cannot be combined with other sales or offers- we will give you the bigger discount) Simply present your Military ID if you come to pick up your board here at the shop.
If you are ordering online, you will need to email or fax a copy of your ID to receive this discount. ID name must match the name on the order.
Unfortunately surfboards cannot be shipped to APO addresses or other similar military post addresses because the US Postal Service will not handle packages as big as boards. However, if you are only looking to purchase accessories, those can be shipped to military addresses.
Refunds and returns are a rarity with Degree33, but in the event that a refund is necessary, a 5% restocking fee will be deducted from the purchase price, including but not limited to merchandise that has not been shipped out or picked up from our warehouse, factories, stores, and/or reps. The 5% covers any fees we incur and is not applicable on out of stock items. Refunds can only be issued on completely brand new merchandise that has never been used and applies to our stock boards and gear. Custom surfboards are non-refundable once the deposit has been received by Degree33, and if applicable, a graphic rendition agreed upon. Refunds will be given less any shipping charges.
Yes of course we can help!! Give us a call at the warehouse and we'll talk you through whatever questions you might have.

We are the only surfboard company in the world that offers a payment plan in which you get to surf your board BEFORE it's paid in full. Yep you read that right. All our boards are offered with a 4 installment option, where after you make the first payment (which will include shipping and all the sales tax if applicable), your board will be shipped or prepared for pickup. After that, your credit card (the one you pay the first payment with) will be automatically charged 3 more equal installments each 30 days apart. So if you are struggling to come up with the full amount let us help you out and spread your payments over time.
Our boards are in a few shops around the country but for the most part our business model is direct to the consumer. We do this in an effort to keep our prices affordable and control the customer experience. If you have a shop and would like to discuss carrying Degree33 boards in your racks go to our dealer page and fill out the form.
Yes absolutely! In fact, our checkout process will automatically calculate a shipping discount when you are buying multiple boards.
Depending on your location we use a variety of shippers, but for most areas we use Pilot Freight.
Shipping is dependent on the total weight of your items. In order to get an accurate figure add the items you want to the cart and start the checkout process. Before your order is complete you will have the opportunity to select your shipping method and associated amount.

We warranty our boards for any manufacturer defect for 30 days from the original date of purchase. If you feel that your board has a manufacturer issue, please take pictures and forward them to email@example.com. If we determine that the cause of the damage was indeed a manufacturer defect we will resolve the issue in whatever manner is appropriate- repair, replacement, or refund. Please note, even though you may feel that the manufacturer is at fault, it may be determined that the damage was caused by pilot error, and in these cases, the responsibility may be yours.
Each board we build goes through 2 levels of quality control before it is ever delivered to the customer. We do this to insure that every board we build meets our quality guidelines. It is our reputation on the line if your new stick doesn't live up to your expectations. However, because surfing is an extreme sport taking place in an always changing and unpredictable environment, there are certain types of damage that we cannot warranty once the customer has taken possession of their new board. Following is a list of these types.
1. All of the following types of damage can happen at any point and in ANY size surf. Even really small waves have been known to create enough hydraulic pressure to snap brand new boards.
2. We cannot warranty any damage caused by exposure to heat and UV. All boards can be damaged by the sun and it is our policy to recommend that anytime your board is not in use, it is stored in a reflective and padded board bag to prevent de-lamination.
3. All our boards are shaped completely by hand and we can not warranty or credit for any cosmetic issues. A cosmetic issue is considered anything that does not affect the structural integrity or performance of the surfboard which includes but is not limited to the finish on the surfboard, variations in color, and variations in dimensions. This applies to both stock and custom surfboards. If you deem the issue to be more than a cosmetic issue please send pictures via email within 3 Business days of receipt.
4. Lastly, pressure dents from sustained or elevated pressure is commonplace for surfboards. All surfboards can dent with pressure from feet, knees, elbows, or any other firm surface.
Damage to your board is part of owning a surfboard. Although we take very effort to create a product that is resistant to breakage, keeping your board perfect will only happen if you hang it on the wall and leave it there. :)
Degree33's master shaper and board designer is 42 year board building veteran Bill Minard.
There are a couple of reason for this. Our business model is the primary reason we can keep our prices low. Because we go straight from the shaping room to you, we cut out the additional markup necessary for your local shop to stay in business. Secondly, we operate out of a warehouse aprox. 5 miles from the beach, so our overhead costs are reduced.
This depends on construction. All our fiberglass boards are made right here in San Diego, CA and all our epoxies are made overseas. We build our epoxy's overseas because there isn't a domestic outfit that can or is willing to produce the numbers we need in epoxy. Regardless of where they are built though, all our boards are completely hand crafted from start to finish.
Demos are something we hope to offer in the future but as of right now we are unable to. That's one of the reasons we offer our 33 Day Guarantee, to help with the board selection process.
San Diego county sits on the 33rd parallel, or 33 degrees north of the equator.
Great question, let us show you.
Yes you can. We have done this several times for customers in Central America. However, you need to be aware that once the freight changes hands from our shipping company to your forwarder, our insurance that covers your board for shipping damage no longer applies. So what that means is, if your board arrives to it's final destination damaged for any reason, it won't be covered for repair or replacement.
If you're concerned about this then make sure your forwarder opens and inspects the package before they send it on to the final destination.
